In Perm, after taking part in the war with Ukraine, the brutal murderer Andrei Serebrennikov has been pardoned. Volunteers searching for her named two search teams after the girl he killed.
The case of Andrei Serebrennikov
Andrei Serebrennikov in May 2016 was sentenced to 9.5 years for the murder of 22-year-old Perm girl Irina Bukhanova. This case caused a public resonance at the time. The young girl was a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology. She was in a relationship with Serebrennikov for about a year. After the girl decided to break up with him, he brutally killed her. The killer buried the body in the woods, not far from his country house. The search for the girl went on for a week. Serebrennikov took part in them, but then made a confession.
The trial
The court sentenced the killer to 9.5 years of strict regime. Journalists then noted that at the trial Serebrennikov smiled. Local residents were dissatisfied with the “lenient sentence” for the “cynical murderer and rapist” and begged Putin to intervene in the situation.
The decision to pardon
Putin has only now intervened. Along with the pardon from Putin, the payments of moral compensation to the mother and sister of Irina Bukhanova stopped. Andrei Serebrennikov himself told journalists that he went to war because he “loves his homeland and now wants peace of mind”.
