The State Border Committee (SBC) of Belarus said the grouping of "Ukrainian armed formations" at a section of the border with Ukraine had increased.
"Recently, in the area of responsibility of the Zhytomyr border detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine, an increase in the grouping of Ukrainian armed formations, including special operations forces and special units of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine," follows from the press service of the agency.
The State Border Guard Service specified that various units are concentrated on the border territory, including those with heavy weapons: MTLBs, BMPs, including American "Bradley", HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, M777 howitzers, as well as German-made "Gepard" self-propelled air defense systems.
Dimchenko, a spokesman for Ukraine's State Border Service, responded to the complaints of the Belarusian border guards.
"It is good that the border committee of Belarus is aware that Ukraine is and will continue to defend its territories from the attacks of its enemies. And this, in fact, is provided by the Defense Forces of Ukraine from different units and using all available weapons.
In addition, our state is also building up defensive fortifications on the border with Belarus. And there are no provocative actions in this.
Unlike Belarus, which, despite all assurances, supported the terrorist country in an unprovoked war and committed the most important provocation on February 24, 2022, allowing Russian troops to enter Ukraine from its territory.
Therefore, as long as Belarus plays along with the criminal actions of the Kremlin, this direction will remain threatening for us, and we will do everything in our power and necessary to strengthen the defense of the country.
And Ukrainian soldiers know well what to do with the occupants, who enter our land. The statement of the Border Committee of Belarus with a warning about some inadmissibility of provocations on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border is surprising. It would be better if they had warned their main provocation," said Dimchenko.
