In Shushary, a suburb of St. Petersburg, a large-scale fire broke out in the warehouse of the online store Wildberries, causing panic among employees.
According to the latest data from Russian sources, the fire area reached 50,000 square meters out of the total warehouse area of 100,000 square meters. The height of the flames in some areas reaches 50 meters. The fire continues to spread through the warehouse.

According to the videos published by witnesses and comments of employees on social networks, it is obvious that at the moment of the fire at the Wildberries warehouse, there were hundreds of people (according to the employees themselves on social networks - about two thousand), during the evacuation process there was congestion at the exits.
"We can say that everything was burned, - writes one of the eyewitnesses under the nickname "A" in the chat of Shushary city. - I was there at the fire, collecting goods, the evacuation was given, we thought it was false because it often happens, then the tsd reported that the real fire, after that I think everyone started to run out".
It is preliminarily known that the fire began in a room with refrigeration equipment, and, according to eyewitnesses, the fire is spreading with astonishing speed.
According to Russian media, the fire alarm went off repeatedly at the warehouse a few days ago, but it turned out to be a false alert each time. That's why when the alarm sounded today, employees initially assumed the alarm was false again.
