Russian authorities are discussing the creation of a ministry to deal with "youth policy and patriotic education."
According to sources close to Putin's administration, such a department may appear after the dictator's inauguration on May 7.
"The idea arose after it became clear that there is no single body responsible for patriotic education," the source said. According to him, the new ministry may be created "based on Rosmolodezh".
The creation of the new ministry comes from the need to "strengthen Rosmolodezh", which is "successfully coping with the tasks". The agency organizes youth forums such as Mashuk, Territory of Sense, Tavrida, and others. It is proposed to give Rosmolodezh the status of a ministry and directly subordinate to the Kremlin, giving additional functions.
The goals of the new ministry are already clear - propaganda of war and "traditional values" among teenagers. Earlier in the Russian Federation, a propaganda subject called "Talking about Important Things" was introduced, which is part of the program of all schools and colleges. It is held in the format of a class hour once a week. Before the class begins, they can hold a line, raise the flag of Russia, and listen to the anthem.
