The Belarusian army may turn its weapons against Lukashenka

The dictator would be in danger if he ordered an attack on Ukraine.

The illegitimate president of Belarus is afraid of the direct participation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war against Ukraine. Lukashenko is aware that the military will refuse to carry out his order to attack neighboring Ukraine. The military would not take the side of the Russian occupiers. Representative of the Coordination Council of Democratic Forces of Belarus Valery Matskevich stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “Freedom”.

If Lukashenko had given a public order and stated that the Belarusian army would take part in aggression and was ready to cross the borders of Belarus and Ukraine, then Lukashenko would not have any guarantees that the army would not deploy weapons against him,” says Matskevich.

In addition, according to Matskevich, if such an order had been given, part of the Belarusian military could join the ranks of volunteers in the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and transfer the weapons of the Republic for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Belarusian army is not faithful to the imperial plans of the two dictators,” Matskevich is sure. In his opinion, Lukashenko has long realized his difficult position and the threats to his regime from his own army.
