One of the migrants, who was trying to cross the border illegally, attacked a Polish soldier, as a result of which the latter was taken to hospital.

A foreigner, who tried to illegally cross the border from Belarus to Poland, stabbed a soldier of the Polish army. The incident occurred near the village of Dubice-Cerkev, where attempts to illegally cross the border have recently been frequent.

This was reported by Polish Deputy Interior Minister Czesław Mroczek on the air of the First Channel of Polish Radio. He confirmed that the injury sustained by the soldier was serious, but his life was not threatened: “This morning I received very bad news that one of the soldiers who tried to stop people crossing the border was stabbed. The migration pressure is increasing and the aggressiveness of these people is increasing. They are trying to force the border in large groups, which are formed thanks to the support of the Belarusian services,” he said.

According to the border guards, about 50 people tried to illegally cross the border at about 4:30 am. The migrants threw branches and stones towards Polish patrols. One of them attacked a Polish soldier with a knife.

On another section of the border, Polish guards were also injured. One of them was attacked by migrants who threw a bottle at him, and another was injured with a knife attached to a stick by the same illegal immigrants.
