Russian army in Kherson: heavy losses according to British intelligence
Details
The new 104th Guards Airborne Division faced significant losses during the fighting.
The UK Ministry of Defense has released intelligence data on Twitter.
«In early December 2023, it is very likely that the newly formed 104 Guards Airborne Division (Russian Air Force "Airborne Forces") suffered extremely heavy losses and failed to achieve its goals during its combat debut in the Kherson region»- said in the message.
In particular, the operation was carried out after the division joined the Russian forces «Dnepr Group» and tried to attack the Ukrainian stronghold near the village of Krynki on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
Intelligence notes that this division lacked artillery and air support, and many of its soldiers were probably inexperienced. After the incident, Russian «military bloggers» called the commander of the «Dnepr Group» Mikhail Teplinsky to resign.
«This is a blow to Teplinsky’s reputation as one of the most capable Russian field commanders in the war: in his usual role he is also a general who exercises command of airborne troops».

The Russian capital faced one of the largest terrorist attacks in its history. The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, which claimed the lives of many innocent people, was the second largest after the Beslan tragedy. But unlike previous attacks, this incident is shrouded in a layer of contradictory facts and ambiguities that point to possible miscalculations by the Russian security services
