"The destroyed Russian A-50U is a new modernized version of the aircraft, worth $350 million," Ukraine's State Intelligence Service claims.
The crash is confirmed by numerous Russian sources. Videos of the moments of the airborne shootdown, as well as footage of the fire at the crash site, are appearing on social networks.
A representative of the emergency services, quoted by "RIA Novosti", reported the fall of an "unidentified flying object" in the Krasnodar region. Propagandists write that "reeds are burning" at the crash site.
According to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region, two "flying machines" were recorded falling in the region, but their model is not named. Witnesses also claim that two airplanes fell to the ground. The Russian Defense Ministry refrained from commenting on the crash.
The incident occurred on the territory of Kanevsky district near the village of Trudovaya Armenia, which is located near the eastern shore of the Sea of Azov.
According to information published by the "VChK-OGPU," the remains of 10 crew members killed in the crash site of the Russian airplane were found.
The mass media, citing sources in the Ukrainian State Intelligence Service, reported that the plane was hit using a modernized missile to the Soviet S-200 SAM system.
