The speaker of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army (UVA) “South” Serhiy Bratchuk told on air of the Ukrainian TV channel “Freedom” that the long absence of military aid from Western partners has greatly affected the situation on the front.
“We are talking about the fact that the assistance that should have come to us even six months ago, its absence has affected the defense capability of our front, our units. And it is only thanks to the courage of our brothers that this front was able to hold as much as possible,” Bratchuk said.
The speaker of the UDA “South” noted that Russia has a tactical advance on the eastern front line. He also said that the occupiers continue to use their “scorched earth” tactics and use aviation.
“This allowed them to sell out the Avdiivka direction. And, in fact, it continues in the direction of Chasov Yar and in the direction of Bakhmut. [...] The enemy has also become more active in the Kupyansk direction, and is trying to use its advantage in artillery, primarily in ammunition, in order to move as far as possible, as far as possible to reach the boundaries that they have already marked for themselves,” he said.
Bratchuk expressed hope that the declared assistance for the Ukrainian army from allies will appear on the battlefield as soon as possible. He also said that the highest priority task of the AFU at the moment is to stabilize the front line, and to prevent further advancement of the Russians.
“Every 100 meters is a small advancement for the Russians, but nevertheless, in any case - it is precisely a movement,” Bratchuk noted.
