Milay will also refuse to travel to the G7 summit in Italy and to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The La Nacion newspaper reported that Argentine President Javier Milay had refused to travel to a peace conference on Ukraine to be held in Switzerland on June 15-16. This information was confirmed by Bloomberg sources.

According to the publication, Miley decided to generally reduce his tour in Europe, which is scheduled to begin on June 12.

According to Bloomberg, the Argentine president will also refuse to travel to the G7 summit in Italy, scheduled for July 13-15. He was supposed to take part in it at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister George Meloni.

In addition, Miley canceled a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, which was scheduled for June 19.

Mealey's decision not to attend major political events in Europe is allegedly linked to national holidays in Argentina, La Nacion's interlocutors noted. June 17 in the country celebrate the national day of Latin American freedom, and the 20th - Flag Day.

Recall, Ukraine invited delegations from 160 countries to the “summit of peace” in Switzerland, of which 106 confirmed their participation. Today, it also became known that Mexico and Nicaragua refused to participate in the summit on Ukraine.

“Our country is in favor of peace, so we expect that soon there will be an opportunity to hold negotiations in which both sides of the conflict will participate”, - explained in the diplomatic mission of Mexico.

The Foreign Ministry of Nicaragua issued a tougher statement. The diplomatic department reported that the country “has not participated and will not participate in this political farce, which has no goal to find a path to peace”. In their opinion, the goal of the conference is “to present Russia with yet another ultimatum.

Earlier it became known that China, Brazil, South Africa and Saudi Arabia also decided to ignore the conference. Beijing said it would support only those summits where both sides of the conflict would be represented.
