The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported the accumulation of Armenian forces along the border:
"On various directions of the conditional Armenian-Azerbaijani border there is a concentration of manpower, armored vehicles, artillery installations, as well as other heavy firepower and intensive movement of troops of the Armenian Armed Forces," the ministry's press service said in a statement.
Azerbaijan directly accused Armenia of threatening to unleash war:
"In recent days, Armenia has seen the activation of revanchist forces threatening Azerbaijan with war. Aggressive rhetoric against our country has reached a high point, and the amount of inflammatory information has increased," the ministry emphasized.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry expressed readiness to respond to provocations, while Armenia will be responsible for the aggravation of the conflict, according to the Ministry's position:
"We warn that any attempt of military provocation against Azerbaijan by the Armenian armed forces will be resolutely suppressed by the Azerbaijani army," the defense ministry said.
The Armenian Defense Ministry, in turn, rejects Azerbaijan's accusations and emphasizes that the information does not correspond to reality. On March 30, footage of Armenian troops allegedly moving to the borders of Azerbaijan appeared online. The Armenian ministry emphasizes that the videos illustrate training car rallies of drivers-new recruits.
"The Armenian Defense Ministry assesses the recent operational situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border as stable and sees no need to take additional measures to protect the border," the ministry's press service clarifies.
