Macron said that France has "useful information" about the organization of the terrorist attack in "Crocus"
Details
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the conversation, the French Defense Minister expressed condolences over the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall. However, he persistently tried to convince that Ukraine and Western countries were not involved in the terrorist attack, shifting responsibility to ISIS.
The Defense Ministry also claims that there is information about a possible Ukrainian trace in the organization of the terrorist attack. However, they hope that French intelligence services are not behind it.
In response to these statements, which Western states and Ukraine itself have repeatedly called unsubstantiated, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the Russian side's words "look strange and threatening."
Macron emphasized that claiming that France or Ukraine were behind the terrorist attack "is absurd." He called it a manipulation of information that is part of the Russian military arsenal.
The French President also explained that France had given Russia "useful information" about the organizers of the attack on Crocus City Hall. He asked the heads of services to have technical conversations with their Russian counterparts to express solidarity and exchange information on the origin and organization of the attack.
Macron also expressed confidence that Russian military disinformation will target the Olympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024.
