PMC "Wagner", for the first time after the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, has resumed the recruitment of mercenaries to be sent to Africa, but already under new leadership. Recruits are also hired in Belarus.
Since February this year, the official Telegram channel of the private army has published about 20 messages about the recruitment of mercenaries.
In March 2023, the recruitment was suspended because of the formation of mercenary groups to participate in the war in Ukraine, but now, judging by the posts in the PMC-related channels and chats, representatives of the group are recruiting fighters to participate in operations in Mali.
In mid-February, social media accounts associated with the PMC reported that Colonel Assimi Goita, who is in power in Mali, signed a contract with the new management of PMC "Wagner" to deploy them in the country.
Today, the mercenaries are under the command of commander Anton Elizarov, who took the place of Yevgeny Prigozhin after his death.
From the recruits of PMCs form assault squads. Some of them are also sent to the detachment to control drones. Recruitment is carried out not only among Russians, but also among residents of Belarus.
