"South Korea will reconsider the issue of supplying weapons to Ukraine," - stated in the message.
The South Korean Foreign Ministry expressed regret over the "comprehensive strategic partnership" agreement signed by Moscow and Pyongyang. They emphasized that the agreement violates UN Security Council resolutions and vowed to respond sharply to any threats to the country's security.
"Despite repeated warnings from the international community, Russia and North Korea signed a comprehensive strategic partnership pact and openly mentioned military-technological cooperation, which directly violates UN Security Council resolutions," said ministry spokesman Lim Soo-suk.
South Korean authorities will also consider suspending the 2018 military agreement with the DPRK. This decision was taken in response to a series of provocations by Pyongyang, including the mass launch of balloons with garbage towards South Korea, which caused "real damage and threat" to the country's population.
On June 8, Putin made his first visit to North Korea in 24 years. Analysts said he wanted to garner support for the country, as well as demonstrate that Moscow is not alone in the war.
